Delta State Ministry of Justice to  Institutionalise Capacity Building Says Attorney-General Isaiah Bozimo.

ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Isaiah Bozimo Esq, has said that the Ministry of Justice will institutionalise consistent capacity development for all staff and members of the National Youths Service Corps(NYSC) serving in the Ministry in order to sustain their efficiency in service delivery to the State.

Bozimo, disclosed this in Asaba while speaking with newsmen shortly after a mentorship session for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving in the Delta State Ministry of Justice.

He stated that capacity building development was needed by all to improve productivity.

He stated that capacity building was not only key to all staff of Ministry of Justice, but to the NYSC members who were carrying out their mandatory one year national assignment.

He stated that the mentorship session was aimed at providing needed advice and direction to the Youth Corpers.

The Attorney-General expressed satisfaction with the level of enthusiasm and commitment shown by the Youth Corp members posted to the Ministry of Justice.

He admonished them to be diligent and hard working to enable them excel in their endeavours.

He also urged them not to entertain any fear in approaching him and other lawyers in the Ministry with critical questions on any area of legal practice which could benefit them and the Ministry.

The Attorney-General also informed the Youth Corpers that they will be integrated into the capacity building training plans of the Ministry which will enable them garner experience in prosecution of criminal matters, civil litigation, legal drafting and mediation services so as to make their NYSC programme as rich as possible.

The mentorship session which lasted for over two hours, saw the Attorney-General and the Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Omamuzo Erebe Esq., respond to wide ranging questions put to them by the Youth Corpers on their experiences in the legal profession and professional choices they made while growing in the legal profession.

In their separate remarks after the mentorship session, some of the NYSC members serving in the Ministry including, Miss Eme Chioma Jane, Mr Ehioiamen Eromosele and Mr. Awojobi John Olu, commended the Attorney-General for the mentorship session.

They described it as educative and enriching as it will help them to decide on the career paths they will take after their youth service year comes to end.

They appealed to the Attorney-General to sustain the mentorship programme.
