WARRI/Nigeria: In a bid to re-position Delta State Multi-Purpose Youth Training Centre (MPYC) Egbokodo, in Warri South to meet current training demands, the Centre said it has concluded arrangement to engage some technical support Staff in order to beef up its existing Staff strength.
According to a statement signed by the Director of Information, Mr Paul Osahor JP, the category of technical staff include electrical, catering and hotel management, fashion design, hair dressing and cosmetology and welding and fabrication.
Others, the statement noted are mechanical assembly and maintenance, motor vehicle maintenance, and decoration and event management
The statement added that interest candidates must possess a minimum of National Diploma in the relevant field of study with at least three years relevant working experience.
It advised interested and suitably qualified candidates to submit their application alongside their resumes in two copies accompanied with photocopies of their credentials to the Department of Administration, Multi-Purpose Youth Training Centre at No. 3 Oke Street, Egbokodo, Warri or Overseas Development Assistance Department of the Ministry of Economic Planning, Asaba not later than Tuesday, 5th February, 2019.
Interviews for shortlisted applicants, the statement further noted, will hold on Wednesday 6th– Thursday 7th February, 2019.
The Delta State Multi-Purpose Youth Training Centre was set up as part of the Niger Delta Job Creation and Conflict Prevention Initiative to mitigate violence in the area among vulnerable youths. The centre is a modern Technical and Vocational Training Centre equipped with state-of-the art training facilities.
