UGHELLI/Nigeria: DR (Mrs) Augustina Erah has emerged as Provost, Delta State School of Health Technology, Ofuoma-Ughelli.
After a rigorous selection process, the Chairman of the institution, Dr. Pharm. Nelson Ejakpovi urged the new Provost to sustain the tempo of development in the school in line with the SMART agenda of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration.
According to Ejakpovi who handed letter of appointment to Dr Erah, “on behalf of members of the Governing Council, I congratulate you, Dr Erah on your emergence as the Provost; your emergence as Provost passed through due process and it is expected that you sustain the tempo of development witnessed in the school since 2015.”
“Our Governor, Senator Okowa is passionate about providing the needed facilities and necessary manpower in the education sector and as a trained Medical Doctor, I can testify that the Governor has done so much for the School of Health Technology,” Dr Ejakpovi said, adding, “within the past three years plus, we can testify that the school of Health Technology has witnessed tremendous changes – our graduates can now go for National Youths Service, almost all the courses have been accredited and modern facilities have been provided in the school.”
He continued, “you (Dr Erah) are not an outsider, we are confident that you will discharge your duties professionally and carry everyone along for the best to be achieved for the institution, the students and all relevant stakeholders.”
In her response, Dr Erah thanked God, Governor Okowa, members of the Governing Council and those who contributed to her emergence as the Provost, assuring that she will carry out her duties diligently and with the fear of God.
Dr Erah took over from Dr Mrs Agnes Olojoba whose tenure has lapsed as the Provost of the institution.
