Delta State Taskforce on Land Recovery Calls for Mandatory Meeting with Dennis Osadebay University Land Occupants

ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Taskforce on Land Recovery and Outright Demolition Committee has issued a directive for all land occupants of Dennis Osadebay University, Anwai, Asaba, to attend a crucial meeting with the committee.

According to a statement signed by the Chairman of the Committee, Chief Frank Omare, the meeting is scheduled to hold on Thursday, March 22, 2024, at the Unity Hall, Government House Asaba, commencing at 12 noon prompt. The statement emphasized that attendance is mandatory for all concerned parties.

The establishment of the committee by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori follows reports of widespread and flagrant violations of federal, state, and local government lands across the state by land speculators. The committee aims to address these issues and ensure the proper management and utilization of land resources in the state.

Land occupants and stakeholders are urged to attend the meeting as it presents an opportunity to engage with the committee and contribute to the resolution of land-related challenges in Delta State.
