“There are some projects that are very fundamental to the growth and development of the state, and we expect anybody who takes over the government to continue with them, and you are doing exactly that,” Jonathan said. He highlighted the High Court Complex as one of the best judiciary headquarters in the country, congratulating the Governor and the judiciary of Delta State for this exemplary project.
The former President encouraged the people of Delta State to support the Governor for the state’s overall development, warning against politically motivated efforts to undermine the government. “When you struggle to bring a governor or president down for the purpose of politics, you are bringing the state or country down. The Governor or the President is sitting with public resources, and everybody must encourage him to succeed. That is the only way we, as a nation, can grow,” he emphasized.

This decision, as announced by Commissioner for Information, Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza, said the approval include the upward review for the completion of the dualization of the Ughelli-Asaba Road, specifically for Sector A, from kilometer 0+000 to 39+000, with a spur to Oleh, and the Ogwashi-Uku to Asaba part of the same road.
He also stated that the state Exco approved the completion of the dualization from Ossisa to Kwale Junction in Ogwashi-Uku, covering kilometer 92+000 to 117+000. These infrastructural upgrades are not mere expenditures but investments in the state’s future, facilitating better connectivity, economic growth, and an enhanced quality of life for residents.
