ABOH/Nigeria: The Chairman of Onogboko Community Development, Mr Mike Otunuya has thanked the Governor of Delta State, Dr Ifeanyi okowa for the Delta Care Initiative.
He stated this while playing host to the Delta Care team who gave a cheque of N2, 224,500.00 (two million, two hundred and twenty four thousand, five hundred naira) for the repair of the dilapidated community primary school building.
He expressed gratitude that it was not a political gimmick that the governor was called Ekweme.
Presenting the cheque on behalf of the state government to the community, Mrs Abigail Okonkwo admonished them to make good use of the money and promised to channel the complaint of inadequate teachers to the relevant authorities.
Mr Tony Okudini, who received the donation on behalf of the community, thatnked the state government for the gesture but decried the refusal of government teachers to stay in the community to teach the students, saying that the school had only one government teacher and a community teacher.
