Delta’s Baby of the Year Receives Special Visit from Deaconess Oborevwori, Who Covers Medical Expenses for Needy Patients

ASABA/Nigeria: Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, the wife of the Governor of Delta State and the founder of the ‘You Matter’ Charity Foundation, made a heartfelt visit on Monday to the Asaba Specialist Hospital. Her purpose was to extend a warm welcome to the first baby born in the state for the year.

During her visit, Deaconess Oborevwori personally congratulated Master Destiny Onuoha, the baby born at 12:05 am to Mr. and Mrs. Martins Onuoha. She expressed her blessings over the newborn, citing the promises from 1 Kings 5:4, foreseeing a future where Destiny would be a beacon of blessings to his family.

Accompanied by her team from the ‘You Matter’ Charity Foundation, the governor’s wife toured the maternity complex, neonatal unit, and various wards, spreading joy by gifting items and monetary support to both babies and mothers. Additionally, she graciously settled the medical bills totaling One million, six hundred and eighty-one thousand naira (N1,681,000) for indigent adults and children, even covering the expenses for a child scheduled for surgery.

Mr. Onuoha Martins, a native of Ndokwa East local government area and a dedicated private school teacher, was overwhelmed with gratitude for Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori’s generosity toward his son. He described the visit as an unforgettable moment and expressed immense joy and appreciation for the honor bestowed upon his family.

Dr. Peace Ighosewe, the Chief Medical Director of Asaba Specialist Hospital, commended the governor’s wife and her team for their kind gesture, particularly acknowledging the settlement of medical bills for five critically ill patients, which significantly impacted their lives positively.
