The Commissioner, Bureau for Special Duties in Delta State, Hon. Chika Ossai has described Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as God-sent to Deltans.
Speaking about one year administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration in Delta State, Hon. Ossai stated that Deltans deserves to celebrate various achievements recorded within one year despite economic challenges facing the country.
According to him, “today, I am congratulating Deltans for making the right choice, there is stability in the polity while the state is witnessing different developmental and empowerment programmes.”
“God so love Deltans that He sent Governor Okowa to be in charge now, the Governor may not be enjoying it but, his coming on board has saved the state from a lot of distress,” he said, adding, “our Governor, Senator Okowa promised Deltans prosperity, for the past one year, despite the economic situation of the country, he has done very well; he knows the importance of road to economic recovery and if you go round the state, you will see massive construction of roads and the Education sector is getting serious attention – the schools in the state have received great attention and also, technical education have been revived within this one year.”
Hon. Ossai asserted, “technical Schools have been revamped to train Delta youths to be employers of labour; Governor Okowa has done very well within his one year in office.”
He disclosed that Governor Okowa treats his Commissioners as equal without discrimination, reiterating, “we all work as members of one family with Governor Okowa playing the role of father to us; issues concerning our various Ministries get the same attention from the Governor based on presentation and I cannot say there are special Commissioners, Commissioner is a Commissioner and we are all brothers and sisters working for the interest of our dear state.”
Hon. Ossai assured Deltans of better days ahead and urged them to be supportive of Governor Okowa’s administration.
