Deputy Controller Of Nigeria Correctional Centre, Late Emmanuel Abada Ozili Laid To Rest Amidst Tears

OKPANAM/Nigeria: The death of the Deputy Controller of Correctional Services, Nigeria Correctional Centre, Agbor Delta State, late Mr. Emmanuel Abada Ozili, a native of Okpanam community in Oshimili North Local Government Area of the state who until his demise was recently elevated to the rank to resume official duty in the zonal office Benin city, Edo State has been described as a monumental lost to the community and the society in general, as his remains was laid to rest in his country home Okpanam amidst tears from his family members, colleagues and numerous sympathisers.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the burial ceremony that was well attended by key officials of the Nigeria Correctional Centre, from both Agbor and the zonal office to pay their fallen colleague their last respect, a renowned legal practitioner in the community, Barrister Anthony Sawyer said that the deceased had impacted meaningfully to the society in many ways.

Barrister Sawyer, who said that the deceased empowered so many individuals who came around him not only in Okpanam but the society at large, especially with his uncommon wisdom in handling critical issues, noted that his sudden transition had created deep pain to the community.

Also speaking, a leader in the community and the Obi of Ogbeozoma, Obi Victor Nwaokobia, Mr. Emeka Patrick Okolie, and staff of the state Ministry of Information and the deceased cousin, Hon. Philip Okafor stated that the late deputy controller of prison was a jolly good fellow and humane in all sincerity.

While praying God to strengthen the wives and children with the heart to bear the loss, they stated that the vacuum created by his exit would be difficult to fill and admonished the family to take solace in God.

Obi Victor Nwaokobia and Mr. Emeka Patrick Ezechie, particularly described the performance of  the late prisons Deputy Controller as outstanding, adding that he was extremely intelligent.

Recall that the deceased attended several conferences and courses in the course of his career including the Basic course , Benin city in 1991,ASP Basic course at Prisons Staff College, Kaduna and Citizenship/Leadership course, Jos where he scored 98 percent respectively and emerged the best among his course mates.
