Warri: A call has been made for synergy between the government at all levels, and Corp chaplaincies in the country, for promotion of peace, unity and cordial relation between the people.
The call was made on Thursday, 18 of August, 2016, by Hon Ochor Chris Ochor, the Executive Director Social Services Development, on the Board of the Delta State Oil Producing Development Commission, DESOPADEC, when the Executive members of the Peace Chaplaincy visited the commission.
Welcoming the members, the Executive Director said that organisations like the Nigerian Civil Defence Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, grew from being a non-governmental body, with focus on helping the government to ensure peace is maintained in the society.
Hon Ochor tasked the members of the chaplaincy to follow and key into the various government peace and security programs, like the proposed War Against Indiscipline by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
“You must make your group relevant, by keying into government programs, like the War Against Indiscipline”. He concluded.
