Development and Security, Pledges Support for Youths

ASABA/Nigeria: The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, has emphasized the administration’s dedication to advancing human capital development programs under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori. Speaking during a courtesy visit by members of the Ndokwa Youth Leaders Association (NYLA) at the Government House in Asaba on Monday, Onyeme highlighted the significance of empowering individuals for positive engagement.

“Human capital development is very important as it empowers the people to be positively engaged,” noted Deputy Governor Onyeme. “We will continue to do more training and improve on some of the human capital development programs that we inherited from the previous administrations.”

He underscored the government’s objective of actively involving all Deltans to bolster the economy. “Our goal as a government is to keep all Deltans positively engaged for us to have a robust economy and to achieve that, we will effectively, implement effectively, our human capital development programs,” he affirmed.

Onyeme also addressed the pressing matter of security, an issue raised by the Ndokwa Youth Leaders Association during their visit. He assured that the government was unwaveringly committed to safeguarding lives and property. “The success story of the MORE Agenda of the Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration revolves around effective security,” he asserted.

Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support from the youths and people of Ndokwa ethnic nationality, Onyeme thanked them for their unwavering backing before, during, and after the general elections. He praised their display of affection towards both himself and Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

Earlier, Comrade Ernest Enebeli, President of NYLA, hailed Deputy Governor Onyeme as a valuable asset to the Ndokwa nation and humanity at large. He outlined the purpose of the visit, stressing the urgent need for government intervention in key areas. “Ndokwa is in dire need of infrastructural development, urban renewal, security, and human capital development,” Enebeli emphasized.

The visit was attended by several dignitaries, including the Deputy Chief of Staff at the Government House, Sir Christopher Osakwe.
