WARRI/Nigeria: The Director General, Warri/Uvwie and Environs Special Area Development Agency, Comr. Ovuozourie Macaulay has enjoined the various Heads of Department of the Agency to always engage their subordinate by delegating responsibility to them for effective service delivery.
Comr. Macaulay stated this while having a meeting with the senior staffs of the Agency in Warri, Wednesday 29, 2020. He urged the staffs to be committed to their duties and contribute to the success of the Agency, even as he stressed that the Agency is a place where they can work and acquire experience as well.
The DG further emphasized the need for staffs to live in unity and work together, saying that every department is useful to the success of the Agency, and used the medium to commend those that have put in extra time to their duties.
He stressed the need for staffs to be punctual to work and not indulge in lateness, saying that gone are the days when staffs strolled into the office and out without permission from their boss, even as he also create avenue for staffs to air their views.
Also speaking, the Director of Administration of the Agency, Mr. John Ewuba stated that work should be channelled to the head of department and the head of department will delegate to a staff that is capable, adding that every head of department knows the strength of their subordinates.
The Director, Project Engr. Bemigho Ofoeyeno thanked the DG for the opportunity given to them to air their minds at the meeting, and urged subordinates to always show respect to their boss, else their boss will not trust them and delegate work to them.
In airing her view in regards to the sacrifices that have been made so far by the DG, the Chief Accountant of the Agency Mrs. Ejiro J. Egbeme noted that everything has been sacrifice all the way, saying that the Agency acquiring certain things has been as a result of the magnanimity of the DG.
