DOPF Celebrates Tompolo at 55, Hails Legacy of Peace, Security

ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF) has congratulated prominent Niger Delta leader and philanthropist, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, on his 55th birthday anniversary, describing him as a transformative figure whose impact continues to shape peace and development across the region.

In a statement marking the April 12 celebration, the Forum praised Tompolo’s enduring contributions to regional stability, economic growth and community advancement, noting that his evolution from a frontline agitator to a key player in private security and humanitarian service reflects a remarkable commitment to the Niger Delta.

In a press release signed by its Secretary, Shedrack Onitsha-FCIIMS, MNIPR, DOPF described Tompolo as a “Niger Delta liberator and a renewed force for good,” whose role in promoting peace, unity and socio-economic development remains both significant and commendable.

“At 55, we celebrate not just the life of High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, but a legacy of resilience, courage, and transformation. From his days as a champion of the Niger Delta struggle to his present role as a stabilising force, Tompolo has remained steadfast in his commitment to the peace, unity, and development of the region,” the statement read.

The Forum particularly commended his leadership of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, highlighting the company’s pivotal role in tackling crude oil theft and pipeline vandalism, as well as safeguarding critical national assets.

According to DOPF, these interventions have not only enhanced oil production but also contributed significantly to Nigeria’s revenue profile and economic recovery.

“Through your leadership in Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, you have demonstrated that sustainable peace is achievable when local knowledge, community trust, and strategic coordination are effectively harnessed. Your efforts have significantly reduced pipeline vandalism and oil theft, thereby strengthening national revenue and restoring confidence in the Niger Delta,” the Forum stated.

Beyond security, the group acknowledged Tompolo’s expanding philanthropic footprint, describing him as a leader deeply committed to uplifting communities and improving lives across the region.

“We also commend your expanding philanthropic engagements, which have touched countless lives across the region. Your renewed commitment to humanitarian service underscores a deeper sense of responsibility to your people and reflects the true essence of leadership anchored on service and sacrifice,” it added.

DOPF further offered prayers for the celebrant, seeking continued good health, divine protection and greater wisdom, while expressing confidence that he will sustain his role as a unifying figure and catalyst for sustainable development in the Niger Delta.

The Forum concluded that Tompolo’s legacy of courage, service and transformation remains an enduring inspiration, not only to the people of the Niger Delta but to the nation at large.
