ABUJA/Nigeria: As Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Kabir today, a foremost Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Delta North Senatorial District and Chief Executive Officer of Geotag Oil and Gas Limited, Chief Dr. Gabriel Chukwuma Etaoghenevwegba Oyibode has congratulated the Muslim faithful.
In a congratulatory message signed by his chief press secretary, Itodje Okiemute Godstime on Saturday in Abuja, Dr. Oyibode wishes the Muslim faithful a peaceful and blissful celebration.
In his words, he said “today our Muslim brothers and sisters are celebrating Eid-el-Kabir and it is my earnest prayer that this year celebration will be remarkable and historical’.
He went further to say, there is need for religion tolerance. Stressing that irrespective of religion practice, every Nigerian should be his or her brother’s keeper.
We should not allow religion bigotries with the name of doctrines, destroy our patrimonial hereditary.
Our founding fathers were of different religion backgrounds yet because of national interest and peaceful coexistence, they were able to synergize and fight for our independence.
Peaceful coexistence is a veritable tool that fosters sustainable economic growth and development.
Therefore I call on all religion clergymen to focus their messages on peace, love, tolerance and forgiveness.
