The leadership and members of the 6th Assembly of the Delta State House of Assembly has been commended by the State Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Barr. John Obukohwo Nani for their unflinching supports and maximum cooperation to His Excellency, Sen. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa and the state executive council, and their unique roles as productive partners in delivering the dividends of democratic democracy to the grassroots people of Delta State through the Laudable SMART agenda of the current administration.
Speaking at the thanksgiving service of the One year anniversary of the House, the immediate past Majority Whip and member representing Ethiope West constituency in the 5th Assembly hailed the exceptional leadership qualities of the speaker and members of the House in the discharge of their oversight functions that has been devoid of rancour. He stated that the house has shown realism to join Gov. Okowa to achieve a prosperous Delta State that will be the pride of all and therefore deserved all the commendations especially on this auspicious occasion.
“The early passage of the Appropriations bill and the express approval of His Excellency requests is the only reason Delta State has witnessed massive infrastructural development far beyond what has been achieved by any administration in its first year” it is therefore worthy to celebrate a house that has express commitments to demonstrate the dynamism of people centred representation.
Hon. Nani congratulated the speaker, Rt. Hon. Monday Ovwigho Igbuya; Dep. Speaker, Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebe and members of the 6th Assembly and wish the house more fruitful years of peace, love and above all understanding to continue to support the governor to succeed.
