DTSG Closes Otagba-Ogbe, Kwale IDPs Camps

KWALE/Nigeria: The Ndokwa East and West Local Government Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp at Otagba-Ogbe Grammar School and Kwale has been officially closed on the 13th of November 2018.

Addressing the people, the IDPs Camp Supervisor from the Bureau for Special Duties, Mr Michael Mozeah, advised the people that though, he does not pray for a re-occurrence of flood, but they have to take pro-active measures by evacuating their property to up land before the flood destroyed them.

He on behalf of the state government sympathized with them for the loss of their loved ones and property occasioned by the flood.

He also advised them to save for the raining days to alleviate hardship, saying that government had a program in place to provide cassava stems, plantain suckers and fish fingerlings for farmers as a take-off support.

The highlight of the occasion was the disbursement of funds to the IDPs families as take-off grants as they go back to their respective homes.
