DTSG Intensifies Infrastructural Development …As EXCO Approves More Roads, Markets Construction

ASABA/Nigeria: Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa has commenced strategic implementation of the 2018 budget with approval of additional roads and markets infrastructure development projects across the three Senatorial districts in the state.

Executive Assistant to the Governor on Communications, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe in a statement said the state executive council on Tuesday 13th February, 2018 approved the construction and rehabilitation of additional 8 roads and two markets which upon completion shall enhance trading, commercial activities, free flow of traffic and facilitate movement of goods and services in the three Senatorial districts.

“Deltans will recall that Gov Okowa while signing the 2018 appropriation bill into law promised to improve on his administration’s huge successes in road infrastructure by ensuring that no part of the state is left behind in the ongoing socioeconomic remodelling of Delta State.

“It is in partial fulfilment of his candid promise that the state executive council approved the construction of Burutu Modern Market and Ozoro Modern Market, respectively.

“Also to be constructed are Emede Ring Road with a spur to Ovie Palace Road, Old Okpe Road, Jeddo in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta, Completion of Marian Babangida Road, Asaba; Construction of Bulu Angiama Road in Patani LGA, Reconstruction of Nze Francis Street, Opp MTN Office Asaba.

“The approval also covers the  Construction of Nkpayala Road, Off Umejei Road, Ibusa; Construction of Owa-Aliosimi/Abraka Road in Ika North East Local Government and the speedy  Construction of Dein Palace/Ozanogogo Road in Ika South in the state.

“The name Okowa is now synonymous with infrastructure development, jobs and wealth creation, quality health care, quantitative and qualitative education, private public partnership, core investments, government-citizens healthy relationships, peace and security initiatives,” Oghenesivbe posited.
