ASABA/Nigeria: The Director General of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency (DSCTDA) Hon. Joan Onyemaechi, has condemned act exhibited by commercial traders at the front of Rainoil Filling Station, Summit Junction, Asaba.

Onyemaechi, who was represented by the Head of Department, Beautification Mrs Ngozy Ojeah, made this known today when she led some staff of the agency on an evacuation exercise at the front of Rainoil Filling Station, Summit Junction.

The Director General frowned at the situation where staff of the agency who went on an enforcement assignment were attacked and their official vehicle destroyed by traders at the front of Rainoil Filling Station, Summit Junction, Asaba.

She described the act as criminal and barbaric, adding that the agency would never relent in ensuring that Asaba Capital Territory was kept clean.

Onyemaechi, however, warned that traders displaying their wares at the front of Rainoil Filling Station on Summit Junction, should hence desist from it or face the wrath of the law.

The DG added that residents and traders should stop using every available space as market, saying that there were designated areas approved as market.

She advised that residents and traders should stop the habit of dumbing refuse indiscriminately but patronize private sector participants (PSPs) to dispose their waste to government approved dump sites.

Onyemaechi emphasize that sensitization the cleanliness of Asaba Capital Territory and environs would be a regular exercise carried out by the agency.
