ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Government has commenced the payment of the back log of the 2015/2016 Student Special Assistance Scheme (Student’s Bursary) to the students who did not receive theirs previously due to unforeseen circumstances.
A release issued from the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board assured students of Delta State origin in tertiary institutions who are qualified but were not paid previously to be rest assured that their payment will get to them.
The Board while appreciating the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for his fatherly role, in approving and ensuring prompt release of funds for the payment, thanked the affected students for their understanding and patience while the issues were being sorted out.
The Board sued for cooperation from students of Delta State origin noting that no qualified student of Delta State origin in tertiary institutions would be left out anytime the Board embarks on payment.
