DTSG To Focus on Human Capital Development, Crime Reduction, and Good Governance, Says Deputy Governor

ASABA/Nigeria: Deputy Governor Sir Monday Onyeme has asserted that the administration led by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori will prioritize human capital development, encouraging all Deltans to excel in their chosen professions.

According to him, this approach will not only lead to the overall betterment of the people but also reduce crime rates in the state. Onyeme made these remarks during a courtesy call by the Coordinators of Odozian/Ezinne socio-political group at the Government House in Asaba on Wednesday.

Speaking about the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last general elections in the state, Onyeme emphasized that it was a result of the desires and efforts of the people. He assured all communities in Delta State that they will not be abandoned by the government and that good governance will be felt across the region.

During the meeting, Onyeme expressed his gratitude to the Odozian/Ezinne Support Group for their significant contributions to the success of the elections. He praised the group’s mobilization efforts and acknowledged their role in ensuring victory for the PDP.

The leader of the group, Hon. Orji Ossai, attributed the success of the PDP in the last governorship election to Sir Monday Onyeme’s impactful entry into active politics. He claimed that Onyeme’s involvement saved the party from collapse, especially in Ndokwa nation. Ossai appealed to the Deputy Governor to consider political appointments for its members, pledging their loyalty and continued support in the political journey towards a better Delta State.
