ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Government has reiterated its readiness to partner with credible associations to move the state to enviable heights
The Secretary to the Delta State Government Mr Chiedu Ebie stated this while playing host to the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, led by its President, Ifeyinwa Omowole, in his office in Asaba.
The SSG said Governor Okowa was interested in the welfare of Deltans hence was doing a lot, adding that Okowa’s victory at the just concluded election tribunal was a reaffirmation of the confidence reposed in him by voters in the state
He frowned at the increasing rate of quacks who pose as journalists on the social media, making regulation difficult.
Mr Ebie enjoined NAWOJ as a professional body to be objective in their reportage and uphold the ethics of the profession irrespective of happenings around the world.
