WARRI/Nigeria: Deltans had been called to use the celebration of this year’s Easter to rekindle the love of God between the various tribes and people living in the state.
Making this call in his Easter message to Deltans is Chief Dr. Braduce Angozi, one of the governorship Aspirants for the 2023 governorship election in the state.
The astute politician, who have as part of his prepared policy to govern the state come 2023, stated that one of the biggest gift of Delta is its social, economic and ethnic diversity, which is a gift from God.
He reminded Deltans of the wonderful combination of these different gifts from God, which must be harnessed to for a better and a harmonious living, by rekindling the love God showed mankind by the death of Jesus Christ on Good Friday.
“Easter is God’s love for mankind. It’s a celebration of how he allowed his son to die for mankind, and it’s a demonstration to man to love one and another, especially with the diversity he gave to us as a state.”
“The creation of Delta state is not a mistake, but rather it’s to preserve the love and gifts of God to us. We must therefore harness the diversity of the state in the area of economy, social and ethnicity to move the state forward.”
“The season of Easter affords us the right mood to go closer to God to seek for this love, and for it to shine amongst the various ethnic groups in the state. We must continue to seek for peace and love for everyone. In the spirit of Easter, for Christ died for our sins, and we must love and live like Christ.”
He further used the occasion to remind Deltans of his dream of a better state where there is unity, despite our diversity. According to him that dreams is surprised thus;
“My covenant with Deltans is to build a strong, resilient and prosperous economy at the door steps of all Deltans, reinforcing Deltan’s unity by promoting the spirit of consensus and co-operation where every Deltan will see themselves as members of one indivisible prosperous family irrespective of ethnic background.” He concluded.
