Easter: Omo-Agege Urges Nigerians to Embrace Renewal, Build a Stronger Nation

ABUJA/Nigeria: Former Deputy President of the 9th Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has called on Nigerians to draw inspiration from the spiritual essence of the Lenten season and rededicate themselves to building a nation capable of overcoming its current challenges.

In his Easter message signed by his Media Adviser, Sunny Areh, Omo-Agege emphasized that the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ holds profound significance for Christians, offering a divine platform to chart a new course for humanity in line with God’s design for a fulfilled life.

“That is why at this time, when we are at the cusp of building a renewed Nigeria, this Easter offers the inspiration to do things differently, given God’s promise that in salvation, He will empower us to do great things and live more purposeful lives,” Omo-Agege stated.

He urged Christians across the country to take a more active role in governance and to anchor their civic engagement on the teachings of Jesus Christ, which emphasize service to humanity and selfless leadership.

“Christians should stand up to the burden of building a new Nigeria and ensure that God’s commandments remain the guiding principles,” he added, stressing the need for faith-driven participation in the nation’s rebuilding efforts.
