Ebola Scare in Obiaruku is False alarm –Ochor

The Ukwuani Local government authourity, Delta State, had called the rumour going round the council area of Ebola outbreak as false.
In a test message sent by the Transition Committee Chairman, Hon Ochor Chris Ochor, he said arising from meeting with the hospital management staff, the case was that of an accident which involved a woman who fell on her way from the farm.
The statement said that the woman who is from Abraka fell down and bruised her body and was rushed to the hospital by the husband for treatment, but because of her state on her arrival, the hospital decided to refer her to government hospital Eku for a better attention.
The Chairman said that based on the seriousness the state is paying to the issue of the disease, the council will carry out an announcement round the town to inform the people of the true situation, he then appealed to the resident to remain calm.
Meanwhile the state action team on Ebola were in Obiaruku to ascertain the true situation in the area.
