ABAKALIKI/Nigeria: Senator Emmanuel Onwe, Commissioner of Information for Ebonyi State has described Governor Chief Engr. David Nweze Umahi as a phenomenal, enigma, Philanthropist par excellence, extraordinary and a historical figure embodied with the unique qualities needed to develop and boost the economic and infrastructural growth of Ebonyi State.
Stating this while hosting different groups of Ebonyi people in Abakaliki he said, “In three years, the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Apostle David Umahi has through the divine mandate entrusted upon him since assuming the reins of leadership of Ebonyi State in May 2015 executed the goals and vision of his administration with an uncommon passion in such a short space of time. It is quite astonishing that even as meagre the allocation given to the State from the Federation account is, the Governor has judiciously managed the resources so well that it is impossible to achieve the result Ebonyians are currently benefitting from today.
“Looking at the Ebonyi of yesterday and today the difference is crystal clear. Governor Umahi is an enigma and unrepentant achiever and I can now understand why Ebonyi State has not become a reference point and a model for other States a tourist centre”.
“Today, both international and Nigeria leaders are full of praises for this great gift by God to us who have taken Ebonyi to the next level and making her worthy enough to compete with developed countries like Dubai which after his second tenure will be magnificent and incomparable to other states in Nigeria.
With few years, I have spent with this man of vision, I have come to understand him as a man who has taste and will only want the best for Ebonyi State.”
In the joy of what the Governor is doing in Ebonyi State Senator Emmanuel Onwe as one of the trusted hands of the Governor lavishly entertained some crop of Ebonyi leaders and NGOs promoting the reelection of the Governor and urged them to join him to celebrate the Governor’s achievements in grand style.
Lady Monica Ada chidinma Eze the President and Founder of DUNAETA the leading NGO promoting good governance in Ebonyi was among the Special Guests invited to witness this epochal event. She reported that all those invited went home with gigantic Christmas packages given to them by the celebrant (Dr) Emmanuel Onwe who urged them to rally around Governor Umahi during the 2019 general elections if they want further development of the State.
Barrister Jerry Obasi,the former State Chairman of APGA, thanked the Governor for having someone like Senator Emmanuel Onwe in his administration because his performance and humanitarian services have been able to change the perspective of the detractors in the State. Obasi,not minding the political parties involved,said that, Eng.David Nweze Umahi in all honesty has performed more than expected and this why it is difficult for him to criticize his administration.
Monica Ada Eze AKA ADA EBONYI who is also a Technical Assistant on Media to Governor Umahi highlighted that other dignitaries who attended the party advised Senator Emmanuel Onwe to continue with his good works cause their lives have been touched by his deeds. They assured him of their maximum support and ensured him that the Governor’s re-election come 2019 is already settled.
