ASABA/Nigeria: Engr Philip Ugbomah Chukwumah (MNSE,COREN), Chief Executive Officer of CPU Construction LLT Nig LTD, has congratulated Mr. Godwin Obaseki for his reelection for a second term as the Governor of Edo state, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in an election held on September 19, 2020.
In a statement made available to Ndokwa Reporters, Engr. Ugbomah, who is also a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, said the victory of Mr. Obaseki is a victory well deserved, earned from a hard work, despite all efforts to end his bid for a second term. He stated that all efforts to short change democratic development in Edo state had failed by the victory.
He also thanked the people of the state for coming out in their large numbers to vote, which he said demonstrated their desire to end godfatherism.
Engr. Ugbomah said the victory also proved that togetherness pays, as demonstrated by the united efforts of all the PDP Governors, especially the South South Governors, and the entire PDP family as they were united to ensure victory for the party in Edo state. Pointing out that the Chairman of the party in the South, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state and his Rivers counterpart, Mr. Nyesom Wike, with supports from the national headquarters worked to ensure a free and fair election was conducted by the Independent National Election Commission, INEC.
He called on Governor Godwin Obaseki, to continue his development efforts, irrespective of zones or party affiliation, to win more members for the Peoples Democratic Party in the State.
