Eid-el-Fitr: Governor Oborevwori Felicitates with Muslims, Calls for Unity and Prayers

ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated Muslims in the state, Nigeria, and across the world on the occasion of the 2025 Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, urging them to uphold the virtues of love, peace, and self-discipline exemplified during Ramadan.
In a goodwill message issued on Sunday in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor emphasized the significance of Eid-el-Fitr as a period of thanksgiving, compassion, and unity. He commended the Muslim community in Delta State for their contributions to the state’s development and peaceful coexistence, assuring them of his administration’s continued commitment to religious harmony and inclusivity.
“On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Delta State, I extend our warmest wishes to Muslims in Delta State, Nigeria, and across the world celebrating Eid-el-Fitr. As you mark this auspicious occasion, I urge you all to reflect on the lessons of Ramadan and continue to uphold the values of patience, sacrifice, and mutual understanding. Our state and nation need these virtues now more than ever,” Oborevwori stated.
The governor also called on Muslims and all Nigerians to pray for the peace, progress, and prosperity of the country, stressing the importance of unity in addressing the nation’s economic and security challenges. He reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to good governance and improving the standard of living for all residents of Delta State.
