ABUJA/Nigeria: The All Progressive Congress (APC) bigwig and former governorship aspirant in delta state, Chief Dr. Amb. Gabriel Chukwuma Etaoghenevwegba Oyibode has said that the “most veritable tool for the progress, growth and development of Nigeria is peace”
Amb. Oyibode made this statement on September 1st, as Muslim faithful celebrate Sallah, warning those that threaten the peaceful coexistence of our dear country Nigeria.
In statement signed by Chief Dr. Amb. Gabriel Oyibode in Abuja on Friday, that was made available to newsmen, Amb. Oyibode stated that peace is the only way forward for a better Nigeria.
He urged the Federal, state and local government to implement policy that will bring improvement in the lives of the citizens and at the same time to develop the nation.
“When life is made easy for people…you begin to see development” Amb. Oyibode said.
He also urged the citizens to support the government of the day, insisting that the government can’t do it alone.
“No man can do it alone, for Nigeria to grow or develop, all hands must be on desk, irrespective of tribes, ethnicities, political parties and religions. We are who we are not by tribe or ethnicity and the more we force on issues that do not have positive effects on the lives of the citizens and government, the more our peaceful coexistence is threatened.
“I call on all Nigerians to know that we don’t have any other country except Nigeria and it is our responsibility to beautify, develop it and make life easy for her citizens, Amb. Oyibode further expressed.
He felicitated with all Muslim faithful as they mark this year Eid-il-Kabir, urging them to always preach the good message of peace, love, unity and tolerance.
