Ekiti Primary: Okowa Gets Commendation From Ejakpovi

ASABA/Nigeria: Chairman, Governing Council, Delta State School of Health Technology, Ofuoma-Ughelli, Dr (Pharmacist) Nelson Ejakpovi has said the credible handling of the gubernatorial primaries of Ekiti State by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has strengthened the hope of Nigerians in the PDP.[yop_poll id=”-3″]
Excited Dr. Ejakpovi in a statement shortly after the result was announced, stated, “I am excited to join the world and see our Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa make a bold statement that elections can be conducted transparently, and credibly in Nigeria.”
“The peaceful conduct of the governorship primaries of the PDP in Ekiti State has rekindled the hope of Nigerians that with PDP, there is future for our country. It was a clear evidence that with godly men in positions of authority, things can be done right in the country,” Dr. Ejakpovi said.
He continued, “we are proud to be associated with Governor Okowa, we are happy that he has strengthened our party at the state and at the national levels.”
“With Governor Okowa becoming the face of transparent and credible elections in Nigeria, the world, especially, Nigerians are now aware that the only democratic party, the only political party where people have freedom to express themselves, is, the PDP,” the Chairman of the Governing Council who once contested for the Chairmanship position of the PDP in Delta State emphasised.
He congratulated Prof. Kolapo Olusola for emerging victorious in the elections saying, “I congratulate the Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Prof. Kolapo Olusola for his victory but, obviously, the winner in that primaries is the PDP, because, at a time other political parties could not organise their congresses, PDP has shown unity of purpose in the struggle to entrench democratic tenets in Nigeria. I congratulate Prince. Dayo Adeyeye and Senator Biodun Olujimi for believing in our party and their commitment to retain the winning streak of the party as exemplified by Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State.”
It would be recalled that on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State led Chief Henry Ikoh, Chief Samuel Nwanosike, and Col. Bala Mande to conduct the primaries of the governorship elections of Ekiti State. Dr Baraka Sani served as Secretary of the committee that conducted the primaries that has been adjudged, credible, transparent, free, fair and acceptable.
