
ASABA/Nigeria: Former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Ndudi Elumelu, has urged Nigerians, particularly the people of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, to sustain their unity, faith and renewed optimism as the nation enters the New Year 2026.
In his New Year message issued on Thursday, January 1, 2026, Elumelu expressed gratitude to God for seeing the country through the challenges of the past year, encouraging citizens to remain hopeful and confident about the future.
He said the New Year offers another opportunity for renewed confidence in Nigeria’s collective resolve to deepen national stability and drive progress, adding that he remains optimistic that 2026 would usher in greater prosperity and sustained development across the country.
The former Minority Leader stressed the importance of faith, noting that both national growth and personal success are best achieved when God is placed at the centre of human affairs. He urged families and communities to remain prayerful and committed to values that promote peace, unity and development.
Elumelu also expressed appreciation to the people of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency for their unwavering support over the years, reaffirming his commitment to working closely with them to improve living conditions, expand opportunities and promote sustainable development within the constituency.
Commending the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Elumelu said the APC-led Federal Government has demonstrated determination and vision in repositioning Nigeria for economic growth and stability. He urged Nigerians to continue supporting the President’s Renewed Hope and reform agenda, noting that ongoing policies are beginning to yield positive outcomes in strengthening the nation’s economy.
He further praised Delta State Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori for what he described as people-centred leadership and a commitment to good governance, saying the administration continues to inspire confidence and hope across the state.
Reaffirming his dedication to public service, Elumelu expressed confidence that with faith, unity and collective effort, Nigeria would remain firmly on the path of growth, stability and transformation in the years ahead.
