ABUJA/Nigeria: As part of the extended campaign against police brutality in the country, which had been depicted by the recent disbandment of the #ENDSARS protests that rocked Nigeria, a Nigerian youth, Victor Chukwuemeke had threaten to petition the outgoing Local Government Chairman of Ukwuani Council Area in Delta State.
In several tweets in his verified twitter handle@mrdueprocess, on October 22, 2020, he stated that by Monday 26, October 2020, he will file a petition before the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, and the Independent Corruption Practices Commission, ICPC, and other government agencies demanding for accountability from the outgoing council chairman, Ogbuefi Chukwudi Dafe.
He pointed out that Nigerians should continue the #ENDSARS, #ENDBADGOVERNANCENOWINNIGERIA protest by seeking accountability from civil servants, elected and appointed officers in their various localities.
Mr. Chukwuemeke further twitted that anybody in leadership and authourity, whether as a civil servant, appointed or elected officer who carries out or perpetuate any act of dishonesty or work against the oath of office which he or she swore to uphold, is a SARS personnel without gun.
