Environmental Officers Tasked On Efficient Discharge Of Duties

AKUKU-IGBO/Nigeria: The Head of Personnel Management (HPM) in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, Dr Patricia Dede, has charged the environmental Health Officers in the state to remain focused and diligent in the discharge of their duties.

Dr Dede, who gave the charge when the state executive of the Environmental Health Officers Association paid her a courtesy visit in her office at the council secretariat, advised them to advocate the importance of sanitation to the political class and the management of the council.

While reminding them that “cleanliness is next to Godliness”, she enjoined them not to allowed other department to take over their duties, even she expressed joy over the  impressive number of women among them.

Also, the HPM admonished them to guide the politicians well, so that the council would work appropriately for the benefits of everybody, adding that their requests had been noted and assured that she would brief the council chairman on it.

Earlier in his speech, the President of the association, Mr Jeffrey Obadaye, said that they were in her office to intimate her of their meeting and had used the opportunity to solicit for her assistance to support the association in the provision of operational vehicle and other working tools.
