OGHARA/Nigeria: Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, member representing Ethiope Federal Constituency House of Representatives, has been praised for attracting unprecedented empowerment valued over a billion Naira to her constituents in Ethiope Federal Constituency, saying that she exemplifies a lawmaker who is not at the National Assembly for self-centric mission but to improve the living condition of her constituents.
This commendation was made recently by Dr. Philomena Onoyona, President of the Hope Restored Advocacy Organization, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) headquartered in the United States, who spoke via a release personally signed by her and made available to the press.
The release also described the recent defection by Rt. Hon. Ibori-Suenu, from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All-Progressive Congress (APC) as a right step taken in the right direction, noting that it was motivated by public good and the principle of ‘’greater good for greater number’’.
Onoyona who doubles as the President of Dr Philomena Onoyona Foundation. Stressed that what the people of Ethiope Federal Constituency have witnessed so far is but a practical demonstration of public leadership by a personality whose family is famous for empowering the people particularly the youths and the vulnerable.
According to her, the unprecedented empowerment was not only exemplary but significantly unveiled a well-prepared representative on a mission to lift her constituents out of poverty.
Speaking further, the Agbor Alidinma born but United States of America based Social Worker who is married to Dr Sylvester Onoyona, All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate for Isoko Federal Constituency in the 2023 general election, said that she is not surprised that Honourable Ibori- Suenu is delivering quality representation.
She said in parts; “presently at the global stage, women are providing the strategic leadership needs and Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, a member representing Ethiope Federal Constituency House of Representative, is replicating the same feat on our political entity. Her superlative performance fittingly aligns with my call at the recently held international seminar in Texas, United States of America, where I, among other remarks, demanded for a greater female inclusion in Nigerian politics and highlighted the potential of Nigerian women to compete in politics if given a level playing field. Her scorecard has finally confirmed as true the fact that women can thrive politically, just as their male counterparts, if systemic barriers are dismantled’’.
