Eschew Violence, Ochei Admonishes Anioma Electorate

The Accord Party Delta North senatorial candidate Rt Hon Victor Ochei has admonished the electorate in the zone against any form of pre and post election violence, as it will retard the socio-political coexistence the people of Anioma are synonymous with.
He made the call at Ute-Okpu in Ika North-East Local Government Area while addressing Accord Party supporters who were victims of thugery and wanton vandalism allegedly unleashed by the supporters of a rival political party shortly before the arrival of the senatorial flag bearer.
In his address, the former speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, called for restraint and steadfastness from his supporters adding that thugery signifies inability to embrace the salient virtue of democracy as a means of encouraging freedom of expression and choice as paramount factors of societal development.
Hon Ochei promised to allow the law takes it full course in unravelling the perpetrators of the act which is akin to the politics of the dark ages where violence prevailed stressing that the Anioma people have never had a recourse to violence in competitive environment.
Meanwhile, Rt Hon Ochei has promised the Ika North East electorate of credible and responsible representation of the Delta North senatorial zone if elected into the Nigerian senate.
He made the pledge at Owa-Alero while addressing a large crowd of supporters during an electioneering interaction with the electorate which had taken him to all the fourteen wards in Ika North-East Local Government Area.
Prior to this, he had visited ward headquarters at Ute-Ogbeje, Akumazi, Umunede, Otolokpo, Mbiri, Igbodo as well as Owa-Oyibu, Idumesah, Owa-Aliezomo among others.
