As the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Author Okowa clocks one year in office, a member of the PDP and lawyer from Obiaruku in Ukwuani Local government area Barrister Prosper Esegbue, has applauded the Governor, for his brilliant and his visionary developmental road map that has brought about the establishment of a new Delta State.
The lawyer who fielded questions from news men at Obiaruku, the administrative headquarters of Ukwuani local government area, while expressing optimism in the ability of Governor Okowa to recreate Delta State, hailed the Governor’s “SMART” agenda which he
described as a brilliant and visionary developmental road map that would bring about the new Delta State.
He commended the vision and determination of Governor Okowa to unite and empower the PDP family in Delta State, stressing that with Governor Okowa at the helm of affairs, Delta PDP and the general citizens are in safe hands.
Barrister Esegbue advised members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to be united under the PDP umbrella, as only the unity of its members would enable them achieve success in their future political aspirations.
The legal luminary who was a former chairmanship aspirant of the party in the last local government election, gave this advice while hosting a team of his followers and political associates at his residence in Obiaruku where he commended his loyalists and supporters for expressing so much confidence in his political vision, saying that their selfless support for his political mission is one of his powers in politics.
He noted that even if he has not received any meaningful benefit despite his involvement and contributions to the party, he remains committed to the ideals of the party and the success of Governor Okowa’s administration because “PDP is the only meaningful political platform in the state worthy of belonging to” adding that those who left the party because of the success of APC at the federal level are only looking for food because they are hungry.
