Ethiope West Chairperson Charges Women to Intensify Prayers For Public Office Holders.

ASABA/Nigeria: Wives of political office holders and women in general have been called upon to redouble prayers for their husbands to enable them excel in all positions they occupy.

The chairperson of Ethiope West local government Council Mrs Eseoghene Golley made the call in Asaba at the monthly prayer meeting and love feast of thanks and praise by chairpersons of local government councils in the state.

Mrs Golley, leader of the wives of local government chairmen in the state said their vision in the last three years when their husbands and female Chairmen came into office was to prayerfully support and ensure that they had a successful, peaceful and eventful tenure in good health, and stakeholders at the third tier of government as well as elected and appointed public office holders at the state and federal levels.

In their three years in office, the Chairpersons, rallied round the wives of the Governor Dame Edith Okowa to ensure that her 05 initiative medical outreach touched lives at the grassroots and will continue to do so.

She also encouraged the council bosses not to feel indifferent that their tenure was already coming to an end but should appreciate God for good health as God will give them divine direction on their next endeavour. .Mrs Golley enjoined members of the group to continue to live as one family for the good of all emphasizing that their coming together helped them to make   positive impact.

The chairpersons thanked God for his divine mercies throughout their monthly visits to various local government areas for prayers.

At the event Mrs Golley and her executive were commended for their purposeful leadership adding that their intercessory prayers for their families, State and the country will continue even when they quit office.

The prayer programme and love feast featured prayers for the Chairmen, the councils, the state and the country at large.

The Chairpersons were also at an orphanage in Asaba to present gift items to the inmates.
