WARRI/Nigeria: Warri, the headquarters of Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State was agog with celebration on Saturday, November 24, 2018, when a renowned indigenous road construction guru, Evang. Dr. Solomon O. Olotu, JP, celebrated 70 years birthday in a grand style, with the cream de la cream of the society in attendance, including traditional rulers and religious leaders.
In his address, Evang. Dr. S. O. Olotu, who grounded his message on the famous song, “thank you Jesus, thank you my Lord, whatever I am now, it is by Your Grace…,” expressed joy and thanked the mammoth crowd of well wishers for joining him in the celebration. His words “Today is one of my greatest days of joy; that I am standing before this crowd of personalities and well wishers is the divine work of God.
“My being alive today is by the grace of God; I give glory to God and I thank the Jesus’ Holliness, St. Dikeji Daniel Miyerijesu, the Bishop of the whole world for his prayers. I urge you all to love and worship God because He is the only source of life.”
He prayed: “may the Almighty God, creator of the universe give you all the reason to celebrate and also be celebrated in your life time, in Jesus name, Amen.
In his speech, the Chairman of the occasion, Evang. S. O. Otehiri, described the celebrant as a God fearing man with a pedigree of uprightness and uncommon love for humanity.

He said “it is an honour to have you (Evang. S. O. Olotu) as my brother. May the God of our father, Jesus’ Holliness, St. Dikeji Daniel Miyerijesu, the Bishop of the whole world bless everyone for coming to celebrate with you, in Jesus name, Amen.”
Highpoints of the celebration included a musical rendition and a happy birthday ditty for the celebrant as well as a special cutting of the birthday cake session with his beautiful wives, Evang. Mrs. Alice Olotu and Evang. Mrs. Mabel Olotu, which was followed by torrents of photographs.
subsequently, guest were treated to a sumptuous meal and assorted drinks.
The birthday celebration progressed to the following day with a thanksgiving to God at the famous God’s Grace Ministry, Arubayi Street, Warri.
Visit To Orphanages and Old People’s Home
The climax of the birthday celebration was the celebrant’s remarkable visit Kings Kids Compassion Home at DDPA; Under His Wings Daughters & Sons Home Ogborikoko; and the Catholic Old People’s Home, Bowen Avenue, all in Warri.
The visit was rounded off with the donation of food items including bags of rice, bags of garri, cartons of bottled water, cartons on noodles and cartons of beverages to the homes by the celebrant, Evang. Dr. S. O. Olotu
Speaking to journalists, the celebrant emphasised the importance of giving care to the needy in the society, adding that it was a great joy for him to visit the orphanages and the old people’s home to commemorate his 70th birthday.
Receiving the donations and items, the Matrons of the homes, in emotion laden voice, thanked Evang. Dr. S. O. Olotu for the unparalled kindness and philantrophy, noting that the celebrant’s generosity has become legendary and all encompassing.
They prayed for God’s divine protection upon his life, and the fulfilment of his desires and expectations.
