The Onotu In-Council of the Eziokpor Community in Ukwuani Local Government Area, Delta State has dissolved the Eziokpor Development Association in a meeting held in the Okpala Uku Palace, the Council took the decision when the executive body and members of the constitution drafting committee failed to honour the invitation from the Okpala Uku to discuss and resolve the lingering issue of the kingship stool of Eziokpor kingdom.
The meeting which was held on the 3rd of January, 2014 also took steps to forestall any disruption in the dream of the people of Eziokpor and said new members into the EDA and the constitution drafting committee will be reconstituted soon. Also, the Okpala-Uku had sternly warned those who are bent in fomenting trouble to steer clear from Eziokpor
It will be recalled that in the last edition of Ndokwa Reporters, it was reported that the Okpala-Uku invited members of the EDA to explain the publication placed in one of the local newspapers without his knowledge. But Ndokwa Reporters exclusively gathered that the persons involved did not respond to the invitation, but fixed parallel meeting on the 3rd of January, 2014 to hold with the youths of the town, the same time the Okpala-Uku and the chiefs of Eziokpor were to have meeting with the persons involved.
