The people of Ezionum Kingdom on Sunday, 11 May, 2014 celebrate the second anniversary of the reign of the king of the kingdom, HRH. Comr. DR. Amb Evang. R.C Osawuta (JP), the Ezhie 1 of Ezhionum kingdom.
The occasion, which was well attended, was also used to honour two sons and daughter of Ukwuani L.G.A. Those honoured are Hon. Alphonsus C.Ojo, the member representing Ukwuani constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Amb Gabriel C. Oyibode, a governorship aspirants for the 2015 election, Mrs. Agnes Ogwugwa Ikukaiwe, a retired teacher and author of “Teach yourself Ukwuani language”.
The ceremony which was marked by a three days revival prayer also saw the official hoisting of the United Nations Peace flag at the Palace of the king.
The recipients at different points described the installation into the hall of Chiefs in Ezhionum kingdom as a moral booster and motivator for them to do more for humanity.
Various people interviewed at the occasion said the recipients were worthy
to be honoured and this will propel them to do more for the
people of Ukwuani and humanity.
