SAPELE/Nigeria: It was a sad day for the owner and customers of a sawmill situated along New Ogorode Road, Sapele when fire razed down the entire sawmill last week, as nothing could be rescued, machines and woods were consumed in the inferno.
The cause of the fire was not known but many attributed it to power surge of an appliance that may not have been put off at the close of the day’s work.
At the time of visiting the scene of the incident, customers that had their wood at the mill as well as the owner were lamenting their losses.
It was gathered that woods worth millions of naira were razed to ash by the fire.
