Foundation Donates To Widows Ika

AGBOR/Nigeria: It was a great day for widows in Ika Northeast and Ika South Local Government Areas of Delta State as over two hundred of them, recently received Bags of Rice, chicken, tomatoes, groundnut oil and other food items from Chief Michael Imafidon Foundation, as their new year gifts.

In a homily, the Assistant Parish Priest of St. John’s Catholic Church, Agbor, Rev. Fr. Clement Odia, prayed for the items and enjoined the congregation to read the book of Isaiah 54: 4-5, where he admonished the Widows not be afraid of any critical condition, they might find themselves, but rather, they should continue to love God and do His works.

Above all, he advised the widows to always be submissive to God and see Him as their husband.

Speaking further, the man of God stated that God has in His infinite mercy, taken over the challenges of the Widows as it is written in the book of Deuthoronomy. He said in that same Deuthoronomy, God promised to honour the Widows and make things work out for good for them.

In his remarks, the founder of Chief Michael Imafidon Uwagboi Foundation, Dr. Mrs. Florence Emelue, disclosed that the primary aim of the above charity organization is to help the less privileged persons in the society, such as the Widows, Orphans, give monthly stipends to students in the tertiary institutions and others.

Dr. Mrs. Emelue urged the Widows to always pray God to continue to sustain the foundation. She promised the Widows that by the special grace of God, she and her family will continue to identify with them from time to time.

Continuing, she thanked her friend, Mrs. Rhoda Afolabi, whom she said has recently donated some pieces of Wrappers to her on behalf of the Widows. She said the Wrappers will soon be distributed to the Widows.

She therefore, encouraged other spirited individuals and organizations in Ika land and beyond who are willing to give to the Widows to visit Chief Michael Imafidon Uwagboi Foundation, holding at Leads Garden Hotel, Melekwe Street, Boji-Boji Owa Delta State.

Also speaking, husband to the founder of the Charity organization, Prince (Dr), Henry Emelue said that they are happy, Celebrating the goodness of God in their lives, particularly for sustaining their marriage for good 43 years.

He stressed that he got married to his wife, Dr. Florence on the 23rd of December, 1978, and that since then, God has been so faithful to them.
