Foundation Urges Nigerians to Dedicate Lives to God to Overcome National Challenges

IREFI-ORAIFITE/Nigeria: Engr. Emeka Okwuosa, the Chairman of the Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation, has made a fervent call to action, urging Nigerians to devote their lives to God as a means to overcome the nation’s daunting challenges.

Okwuosa made the plea during the dedication ceremony of the Christ Church in Irefi-Oraifite and the memorial thanksgiving event for Late Pa Godfrey Egbuniwe and Late Dame Irene Mmachukwu, both from Irefi-Oraifite in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra.

The Christ Church, a symbol of faith and community, was constructed under the auspices of the Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation, reflecting the organization’s commitment to spiritual and societal well-being.

In his address to the gathering, Okwuosa emphasized the significance of hard work and diligence in fostering development within any society.

He said, “Let us do whatever we are doing to the glory of God and humanity, as we lend ourselves to God, He will use us as a means of blessings to people around us. For me, the goal is to render service to God and humanity, which entails giving the best to God because He is deserving of it. It is high time we left all negativity. The rulers and the ruled should return back and dedicate their lives to God so that we can surmount our national challenges and have a better society that we dream of.”

Furthermore, Okwuosa disclosed plans for his foundation to commence the construction of a skill acquisition center, aiming to empower individuals with the skills necessary for self-reliance. He also urged Nigerian youths, particularly those from the South East geopolitical zone, to pursue legitimate means of livelihood, steering clear of illicit activities for financial gain.

Most Rev. Henry Ndukuba, the Archbishop, Metropolitan, and Primate of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) in Abuja, echoed similar sentiments, encouraging all Nigerians to embrace the principles of remaining relevant to God to attract His blessings. Ndukuba stressed, “Let us do whatever we are doing to the glory of God and humanity, as we lend ourselves to God, He will use us as a means of blessings to people around us. As God has used the Okwuosa family to bless the church, we are also trusting that God, through our prayers and study of the word of God, will bless Nigeria.”

The event saw the presence of notable dignitaries, including Chief Arthur Eze, the Obi of Onitsha; Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe; Dame Virgy Etiaba; former Aviation Minister Osita Chidioka; Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, the 2021 gubernatorial candidate of the PDP in Anambra; Archbishop Emmanuel Chukwuma of the Archdiocese of Enugu; and Archbishop Alex Ibezim of the Province of the Niger. The gathering underscored the importance of unity and faith in the face of challenges that continue to confront Nigeria.
