Four Churches Gutted by Fire in 2017 Rescued by the DTSG

ASABA/Nigeria: To cushion the effect of an inferno that gutted four churches in Aniocha South last year, the Delta State government has donated money to the affected churches.

The churches that received cheques from the Delta state government were World Liberation Ministry, Evangelical Miracle Centre, Spirit and Life Bible Church as well as Grace of God Mission.

The Executive Assistant to the Governor on Religious Matters, Bishop Greatman Nmalagu who presented the cheques to representatives of the four churches said the donation by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa was for them to recover from the invaluable losses incurred as a result of the fire and charged them to put the money into good use.

While urging them to continue to pray for the betterment of the country and success of the Okowa led administration, he assured various religious bodies that government will continue to invest in their  physical and spiritual growth.

Bishop Nmalagu challenged churches to redouble prayers for God to intervene in the nation’s security and economic challenges emphasizing that the unwarranted killings and wanton destruction of valuables in recent times by herdsmen were against God’s plans for Nigeria.

He reminded churches across the nation of the need to use their votes in 2019 wisely stressing that the best way to put an end to ungodly policies in the nation was to vote in the right people in the upcoming general elections.

The Chairman of the Aniocha South chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN Most Senior Apostle Godwin Nwanze who spoke on behalf of recipients thanked the Governor for being a good believer and urged him not to relent in the provision of democracy dividends for Deltans.

He assured him of continued prayers for the nation and advised those persecuting believers to repent or be ready to face the judgement of God.
