ABUJA/Nigeria: In a laudatory gesture, Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe Esq, the immediate past Executive Assistant on Communications to Delta State Governor, has praised the strides taken by the Delta State government during the tenure of the immediate past governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON.
Oghenesivbe’s commendation is rooted in the government’s substantial investments in human capacity development spanning from 2015 to May 29, 2023.
He conveyed this gesture while accepting the distinguished “Most Performing Media Personality in Political Communication Strategy and Media Politics” award presented by Top Flyers International Magazine in a ceremony held in Abuja on Saturday. He highlighted that during this period, the state government successfully empowered more than twenty-five thousand youths, women, and girls with pertinent skills, startup resources, and financial support. This multifaceted approach has led to the emergence of a burgeoning cohort of youthful entrepreneurs within the state.
The former Executive Assistant expounded that not only did the government bolster the prospects of thousands of aspirants, but it also extended its reach to include six hundred and fifty political appointees, media collaborators, and social media influencers. These individuals were provided intensive training by accomplished scholars and venerable professors specializing in the domain of Journalism and Mass Communication. The impact of these programs is evident as the beneficiaries continue to flourish in their respective careers and vocations. Oghenesivbe characterized Governor Okowa as an exemplary leader who presided over the state with unblemished governance for an impressive eight-year span.
Expressing unwavering faith in the newly inaugurated administration of incumbent governor, Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, Oghenesivbe anticipates a profound advancement in the state’s socio-economic landscape and infrastructure development. This transformational vision is encapsulated within the M.O.R.E agenda, an acronym signifying the administration’s commitment to enhanced Mobility, Opportunities, Resources, and Engagement. Oghenesivbe assured that this regime would not only build upon its predecessor’s achievements but also surpass them, hinging on the promises articulated by Governor Oborevwori during his electoral campaigns.
“I stand as a representative among the multitude who reaped the benefits of Governor Okowa’s comprehensive human capacity development initiatives, and this esteemed award, among others, serves as a testament to my performance during my tenure as the Executive Assistant on Communications from April 3, 2017, to May 29, 2023,” Oghenesivbe shared. Overflowing with humility in response to the recognition, he pledged to redouble his efforts in the forthcoming years, fortified by divine grace.
As the Delta State government’s accomplishments in human capacity development garner commendation, the torch is now passed to the new administration to uphold and advance this trajectory of progress.
