Fresh Phase with a Difference: Oyo State’s Newly Sworn-In Commissioners Assume Duty with Zeal

IBADAN/Nigeria: In a significant development for public service in Oyo State, the newly sworn-in Commissioners wasted no time and swiftly assumed their duties on Thursday, after Governor ‘Seyi Makinde had administered the oath of office to the Secretary to the State Government, Head of Service, Sixteen Commissioners, and new Permanent Secretaries on Wednesday at the Executive chamber, Governor’s office.

According to a media statement issued in Ibadan by Prince Dotun Oyelade, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, the state secretariat saw a flurry of activity with several Commissioners arriving promptly to take charge. Notable early birds were Mr. ‘Demola Ojo, Commissioner for Trade, Industry, Investment, and Cooperative, and Prof. Abdulwaheed Soliu, in charge of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology.

Both Commissioners expressed their enthusiasm to hit the ground running and fulfill their mandates diligently. Mr. ‘Demola Ojo emphasized the need for robust collaboration to boost the state’s economy and raise its standing both nationally and internationally, while also ensuring adherence to official protocols.

On the other hand, Prof. Soliu revealed his vision to leverage technology in revolutionizing the education system in Oyo State.

Addressing environmental concerns, Mr. Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, pledged to make Oyo State the cleanest and most environmentally appealing state in the nation.

Exhibiting a proactive approach, the newly sworn-in Commissioner took immediate action upon assuming office, expressing his determination to achieve unparalleled success for the ministry. He called on all stakeholders to give their utmost effort and dedication, aiming for results that exceed expectations. Additionally, he assured that all relevant agencies under the Ministry would be brought on board to contribute to the ministry’s accomplishments.
