ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Commissioner for Information, Chief Patrick Ukah, has said that good governance of the Governor Okowa administration largely contributed to the numerous goodwill enjoyed by his government.
The commissioner made the disclosure today in his office when he received the 2018 Leadership Award tagged “outstanding media leadership award” by Asaba Post News-Wire Online.
Chief Ukah who said he dedicated the award to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and all Deltans who believe in good governance, stated that whatever award being given to him was because of the good work of the governor.
He noted that the award was one of many the Okowa administration had attracted to him and pledged to continue to highlight the monumental strides of the government of Governor Okowa.
While saying that the award would spur him to greater height, he thanked the management of Asaba Post News-Wire Online for the honour and recognition, and wished the organization in its service to humanity.
Earlier, Comrade Emeka Okonta-Okelum, who made the presentation of the award to Chief Ukah on behalf of Asaba Post News-Wire Online, described the award as a token of appreciation of the good work of the commissioner since his assumption of office.
He commended the commissioner for giving what he coined ‘media content’ to the sustainable development of Delta State, adding that the information commissioner had been outstanding in the information management of the state, saying the effort had contributed in enhancing good governance.
