OKPANAM/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, has been described as a pragmatic and meticulous leader who rewards hard work through appointments.
The Chairman of Amachai Youths, Comrade Emmanuel Dinjo Agala, who stated this in Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area while fielding questions from newsmen during a reception organised by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chief Patrick Ukah, said that Governor Okowa had continued to redefine governance in the state.
Comrade Agala, who appreciated the Governor for the appointment of an illustrious son of Okpanam community, Chief Patrick Ukah as SSG, said that the appointment was well deserved.
The Amachai Youth Chairman, however, described Chief Ukah as a seasoned politician, who was passionately committed to the realisation of the Stronger Delta vision of the Governor.
He said that the appointee was a great asset to the administration of Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, adding that he gave good account of himself as two time commissioner in the state.
While congratulating the Secretary to the State Government on his recognition by the Governor, Comrade Agala expressed optimism that Chief Ukah would perform beyond expectations in his new appointment.
Comrade Agala, used the opportunity to thank the Governor for the massive transformation of Okpanam community in the area of road projects, saying that before the Okowa administration came on board the community had not had it so good.
He noted that the people of the community was very pleased with the appointment, stressing that they would always remain grateful to the Governor for the implicit confidence in Chief Ukah, just as he pledged unalloyed support of the community to the Okowa led administration.
