ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved the formation of a 7-member Local Organizing Committee (LOC) to oversee the 8th National Youth Games (NYG), set to take place from September 10th to 20th, 2024, in Asaba, the state capital.
This announcement was made by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sir Festus Ahon, on Thursday. The committee will be chaired by Chief Solomon Ogba, with other members including Chief Tonobok Okowa, Chief Chinonye Aliyu Daphey, Chief Victor Onogagamue, Mr. Onoriode Oborevwori, Mr. Harrison Ocholor, and Mr. Festus Ohwojero, who will serve as both a member and the secretary.
The committee’s primary responsibility is to ensure the successful hosting of the 8th National Youth Games. Ahead of the event, a Joint Technical Meeting (JTM) is scheduled to be held from August 18th to 20th, 2024.
