Governor Oborevwori Celebrates Chief Edwin Clark’s 97th Birthday, Hails His Contributions

ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Ijaw National leader and esteemed elder statesman, Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, on his 97th birthday.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, Governor Oborevwori lauded Chief Clark for his unwavering dedication to the development of the Niger Delta and Nigeria. The Governor emphasized that leaders at both the national and sub-national levels have greatly benefited from Chief Clark’s wise counsel on matters concerning the country and the region.

“It is truly admirable how much Chief Clark has contributed to resolving conflicts in the Niger Delta,” Governor Oborevwori remarked. “The people of the region and the entire country remain grateful to this elder statesman.”

The Governor highlighted Chief Clark’s enduring commitment to nationalism and his relentless zeal for the interests of his people and the peaceful coexistence of all Nigerians.
