Governor Oborevwori Charges Newly Inaugurated Board Members to Drive Delta State’s Advancement Through MORE Agenda

ASABA/Nigeria: Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has urged the newly appointed Chairmen and members of Boards of Agencies and Institutions to ensure the development, of the state through the M.O.R.E. agenda. The Governor emphasized the pivotal role these boards hold in steering governance structures toward enhanced efficiency, transparency, and accountable management.

The Governor’s statement was made to appointees such as Barr. Innocent Ogboru, Dr. Chris Oharisi, Chief Solomon Areyinka, Chief Tony Oboroh, Dr. Paul Oweh, Mrs. Florence Omoni-Johnson, Philo Apena, and Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu, during the inauguration of the board members in Asaba on Thursday, November 30, 2023, stressed the importance of upholding the code of conduct delineating the separation of powers between boards and management.

“These appointees have undergone rigorous scrutiny, emphasizing merit, leadership, and team-building skills,” Governor Oborevwori stated, commending their dedication to governance matters. He emphasized the need for concerted efforts in advancing Delta State through the MORE agenda, urging adherence to the governing codes for effective board operation.
